Join us for this one-day Kingfisher Bushcraft Axe, Saw & Knife Skills Workshop at Kingfisher Bridge Nature Reserve.
Come and join our team of experienced instructors on this 4-hour workshop whilst enjoying learning all about axes, knives and saws, in a safe environment. During this workshop we will delve into the safe use of the aforementioned tools, and aim to understand their limitations whilst crafting a number of items that you will be able to take away with you.
You will get plenty of hands-on experience with using axes for wood splitting, and with our smaller hatchets for craft projects. In addition to this you will learn how to create a try stick using a knife and saw. This combination of skills demonstrates to the observer a broad range of fine carving techniques and an understanding of wood grain, which have real practicality in nature and bushcraft.
To finish off the workshop you will be shown how to maintian these tools in the field, so that you are always well-prepared, and never have a dull or dangerous tool.
All the tools required will be provided so don't feel you need to bring anything other than a packed lunch and any snack, along with some spare clothes just in case the wather turns.
We will provide hot refreshments (tea/coffee) throughout the day.
Due to the nature of the workshop we have a maximum of 5 spaces available. All participants must be over the age of 18 (proof of age may be required). No pets allowed.
